Ahh Zombies is an arcade game with offline solo play, two optional online features (a seasonal score board and two-player co-op) and, in the Android app, ads from Google AdMob. This policy explains what the game handles.
Ahh Zombies has no accounts and no sign in. It never asks for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, files or location. The game itself contains no analytics software. The Android app shows ads through Google AdMob, which collects the information described under Advertising; the web version has no ads.
To remember your progress, the game saves the following on your device only:
You can clear local progress using your device or browser storage controls. Android system backup may retain a copy and restore it after reinstallation, depending on your device settings.
The score board is optional. Solo casual play works offline. Opening Ranked or Co-op uses an internet connection.
When you finish a Ranked run that beats your best score for the season, the game sends the following to a Google Firebase Firestore database, over an encrypted connection:
That random value is not derived from anything about you, your device or your account, and it is not linked to any other information. Nothing else is sent: no name, no email address, no location, no device or advertising identifier, and no contact details.
The board shows display names, ranks and scores to other players. Choose a display name you are comfortable showing publicly. Each season has a separate board. Historical entries may remain stored after the visible season changes. To request removal of an entry, write to the developer email address listed on the Google Play store page.
Firebase acts as our data processor for this feature. Its handling of data is covered by Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
Online co-op uses a temporary room in Google Firebase Firestore to connect two players. The room contains a code, display names, selected characters, game version, run seed, creation time and WebRTC connection information. Connection information can include network addresses. The host attempts to delete the room after connecting or cancelling. Clients refuse rooms older than ten minutes; expired records may remain stored if cleanup fails.
Once connected, the two devices exchange character loadouts, permanent upgrade levels, unlocked weapons, movement and attack inputs, level-up choices, synchronization checks and connection measurements over encrypted WebRTC data channels. These are used to run the shared game and are not saved on our servers. Your partner sees your display name, character and gameplay. There is no voice or text chat and no camera or microphone access.
STUN and, when configured, TURN providers help establish or relay the connection and receive the network addresses needed to do so. Direct WebRTC connections can also expose network addresses to the other player. A relay forwards encrypted game traffic. The default STUN service is provided by Google; a configured relay may be provided by Metered Open Relay. Their own privacy policies apply to their services.
The Android app uses Google AdMob to show ads. Most are your choice: you can watch an ad for a second chance after falling, to double the coins a run earned, or for an extra reroll on the level-up cards. Now and then an ad also plays when you leave the results screen. Ranked play never offers an ad reward. The web version shows no ads.
To serve and measure ads, Google's software in the app may collect and process your device's advertising ID and other device identifiers, your IP address and the approximate location derived from it, how you interact with ads, and diagnostic information about the app. Google uses this for advertising, measurement, fraud prevention and security. The game itself does not receive or store this information.
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the app asks for your choices through Google's consent message the first time you open it. In US states with privacy laws, you can opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information from Settings under Privacy options. Wherever Privacy options appears in Settings, you can review or change your choices at any time. If you do not consent to personalised ads, Google may still show non-personalised ads, which use information such as approximate location for delivery, frequency capping and fraud prevention.
You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android device settings. Ads are limited to content rated for general audiences and parental guidance.

The game is intended for players aged 13 and older. It does not ask for age, real names or contact details. The only thing a player can enter is a display name, which is not required to play and is limited to sixteen letters, digits, spaces, hyphens and underscores.
3D art assets are licensed from Synty Studios. Google Firebase hosts the score board and temporary co-op rooms. Google STUN and any configured TURN relay provide the connection services described above. Google AdMob provides the ads in the Android app.
If the game ever changes how it handles data, this page will be updated and the effective date revised.
